i am confidant but I STILL HAVE MY MOMENTS BABY that’s just me ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Only sixteen minutes… thought Aislynn as she peeked at her cell phone, then slipped it back in her jeans. Sixteen minutes. It felt too long, so far away. Being stuck at working at the music store with a good Friday night wasting outside was pretty depressing to her. Why did Erica have to get sick today, of all days? Of course, she felt bad for her, but nothing seemed to be working in her favor today. Her coffee maker broke, and she didn’t have enough time to stop anywhere to get any because she was already late to class. Then she realized she’d left her lunch on the table of her apartment, and couldn’t go back or anything to get it because of course it had to be something with mayonnaise, so it would be spoiled by the time she got back. What was worse? She didn’t have any cash with her at the time, and by the time she would have been able to stop by the bank it would be closed. Now she had to work later because Erica caught mono, forcing her to delay her plans to go clubbing. Of course, she just had to get a call saying her friends were too intrigued by a house party, and were more interested in drinking and making out with guys they’d probably never see again because they ran into them at dinner. What a Friday…While reviewing her day, she accidentally backed into the rack holding a bunch of music cards, which all clattered to the tile floor in a noise definitely loud enough to attract attention, She ducked quickly, groaning at her bad luck and swearing quietly under her breath. She had to go dancing, now, she thought, as she scrambled to pick up the cards before her manager noticed. There was anger that had been building that desperately needed to be blown off... As she stood with an armful of cards, she accidentally bumped into someone behind her, and jumped, whirling around to them. "Sorry! My bad…" she exclaimed, completely mortified that she’d made yet another clumsy mistake. What was up with her today? What was up with the day in general? It was so weird… ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! done TAGGED! open to anyone! where is the good music? James thought to himself blankly as his fingers traveled over some cd's in the rack, not finding anything to his particular taste. Furrowing his eye-brows together, James peered over them one last time, but nothing jumped out at him. "figures.." he murrmered and drew his hand away, letting out a small hum.
Jame was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, and he had on a light blue shirt, with a white plaid over-jacket. His sneakers were a light blue color, with white laces. James did like to style when he went out, just what he did. He was about to just give up and head out when he heard the sound of music playing and the sounds of small items hitting the floor. On instinct, the young adult rushed over to where he heard the noises and turned the corner.
He was met by the back of someone turning into him. He stumbled back a bit, getting back his balance easily and adjusted his gaze on whoever it was who seemed to be the cause of the racket. He blinked as he saw brunette infront of him, her arms full of sound cards, and a bewildered facial expression. He put out his hands barely and finally said, "oh, hey, you need help with those?" James was feeling nice, and this girl did look extreamly pretty, so why not be nice? He stared at her with an uneasy soft smile, his eyes calm

i am confidant but I STILL HAVE MY MOMENTS BABY that’s just me ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cute guys. They were a little, but annoying, weakness of Aislynn, so it took her a few seconds to remember she had a mouth and a few more to realize she knew English. "Yeah… thank you" she managed to say, giving a small smile, and handed him about half on the cards before they slipped from her grasp. Recovering, thankfully, was a strength she’d been gifted with. She managed to keep a calm demeanor, facially, so it wouldn’t look like she’d blanked out momentarily when seeing him. Turning to the rack, she started hanging the cards again. A thought hit her. This would be so much easier if I could just use my gift… she thought. “Gift” was what she referred to her fairly newfound ability as. When she was twelve, she discovered she could move things with her mind, and by her senior year figures out the could break things with her mind, as well. It would be much easier to just put them all back that way, but she’d promised herself she’d never do it in public. Nobody but her mother knew about her gift, and she wanted to keep it that way… though she was curious as to why she had it. It was a question she’d been asking herself for years, and longed to know the answer… She almost asked him his name, but remembered she was working, and that it would be a weird question to ask a customer. He probably didn’t give a hoot about her, anyways. "Did you need help with anything? " she asked, looking directly at him. It wasn't something she usually did unless she was flirting, but she felt a little flirty, especially since she couldn’t flirt with random guys her friends met. She didn’t go off making out with them, like some of her friends did, just innocent flirting. It never really got anywhere. She hadn’t had a boyfriend, or even a potential boyfriend, since sophomore year… ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! done TAGGED! james! James handled the cards she had given him easily, leaving her gaze to stare at the cards momently. He couldn't help but notice how she had momently blanked out when she saw him. Well, who could blame her? He was one of the hottest guys around...
uh, that's him just being bragy once again, back to this. "welcome..." he murrmered as she thanked him, his tone calm as he stared back at her cooly. He exaimined her as she put the cards back, his thoughts wandering. First of all, he wanted to know her name; but he didn't want to rush out on things, she worked here, that's one thing he knows for a fact, and she's clumsy(obviously). But, that was okay, alot of girls are clumsy, infact he can be abit stumblish at times. He smiled smally at her as she asked if he needed anything. Putting on this sweet boyish act was his specialty, I mean, no girl would even want to look at a guy if they found out how mean he was. He really wasn't in the mood to have a hand slap him in the face anyways...and she seemed pretty nice.
"oh no, I think I found what I was looking for..." he told her thoughtfully as he slowly hung one of the sound cards on the rack, to try and help her out, she seemed to be working hard as it is.
He was flirting with her, usually it was an instinct to him when he met a rather fine looking lady; but he wasn't doing it too strongly, just playing it cool, like he always did. He broke eye-contact with her for a few seconds, and then slowly stared back into her big brown eyes, a trick he liked to do, he found out that it kind of hypmotizes girls; being all mysterious looking.

i am confidant but I STILL HAVE MY MOMENTS BABY that’s just me ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Her blood felt like it froze in her very veins. Her heart felt like it melted. Not the words, but the way he said it, caught her attention, and she knew immediately he was referring to her. Kid’s good… she thought, as he looked into her eyes with a slow, anticipant gaze. Stupid boys and their stupid ways of looking all mysterious and hot to make your heart flutter. But it was times like these she loved and hated being a girl. What should I say? she wondered. She wasn’t good with flirting, since she hadn’t been allowed to do it until well… the past year. Being away from her parents was amazing, but it left her realizing all they’d made her missed. How little she knew about things everyone had known for years… "Have you now?" she asked, trying to stay as calm and collected as possible. “And do you have any plans as to what you’re going to do with this… thing that has struck your interest?”She instantly regretted her words. Crap, that was a big jump. She didn’t mean to go so far so soon. She was suggesting hanging out… at least, that’s what she intended. Thinking back on it, it sounded pretty…well, dirty. She wasn’t thinking that at all, though. She smiled, turning to the rack to put the rest of the cards on it before turning to him, hands behind her back as she smiled up sweetly. That was one feature she liked: her smile. It was just like her mother’s, and her mother’s was dazzling. She was proud to have inherited it, and it was one of the few things about herself she was completely confidant about. Damn her and her lame non-ability to flirt. She wanted to melt into the floor, but held her cool. Maybe he wasn’t totally turned off by her attempts… maybe she had a chance still. Most guys would label her a failure and leave, interest lost… but maybe he was different. Hopefully… she thought, realizing how much she wanted to impress him. How weird… ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! done TAGGED! james! James studied her carefully before replying. that was...um, an interesting comback... He thought curiously, but with alittle unsureness. I hope she's not one..well, those girls. He blinked, but kept his smile in place. He didn't want this conversation to go too far, he had just met her after all, in a music store of all places. He sighed slowly, taking his time in replying to this juicy play-on-words. He looked up with a skeptical face and then looked back at her coyly. "ohh, I don't know. It depends on what the certain "thing" wants to do." He said smoothly, his eyes getting a mischievous glint to them. Making sure to imply that their were air quotes around the 'thing' word.
He kept her gaze easily, thankful he wasn't born shy or anything, he was the out-going, laugh-out-loud kinda guy. He really didn't get along with real shy people well. It would be like a lion with a sheep, and...those two things don't go too well...in the animal world atleast. ha!
His playful grin turning into a lopsided smirk as he stared at her. He then put the last card he was holding on the rack without breaking his gaze from her brown one, just anticipating her reply. This was pretty fun, and what luck he has had to run into such a beautiful women, thank heavens a pleasant one at that!

i am confidant but I STILL HAVE MY MOMENTS BABY that’s just me ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For some reason, she was having a pretty easy time looking back at him. Usually, her shyness shone and she couldn’t even look a cute guy in the eye. But from somewhere inside her a fountain of confidence burst and her gaze never shifted as he looked at her coyly. Now, that didn’t mean she didn’t get butterflies, or was inwardly freaking out. Another skill she had was keeping a calm demeanor, even if she felt ready to pass out from being so frantic. However, she was greatly relieved he’d commented to her lame comeback, giving her another chance to redeem herself. "Well… I believe this thing is getting off in a few minutes, and she’d very much like to go somewhere and chill… but I don’t think this thing has a preference on where to go." she replied, deciding not to be obscure. Sometimes, you just had to be upfront with the guy. It made life a lot easier, not constantly jumping through hoops and “playing hard to get” with the flirting game. No, she wasn’t at all what you’d call “loose”. Quite far from it. However, she wasn’t one for being all mysterious and stuff. It was to die for in a guy, in her opinion, and they seemed to be better at it. She left it to them. Another thing she liked in guys was eyes, and she noticed he had beautiful blue ones. She could have looked into them forever, and almost felt like she was getting lost in them, but quickly focused on his entire face. It wasn’t something she minded looking at, either. He was definitely good looking, like she’d realized and re-realized for awhile. Guess my day doesn’t suck to badly after all… she thought, with a smile, and looked to him for a reply, hoping she’d redeemed herself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! done TAGGED! open to anyone! Glad to have scored a date, if it was going to be called that, James' eyes brightened. He laughed abit as they went on calling her the 'thing' which seemed childish, but hey! No one really wanted to grow up, now did they?
"Well then.." he began simply, in a clear and smooth tone, "I say; what about the Gramercy Tavern? I'm sure that she would like that? Now using 'she' instead of thing, because obviously, they both were talking about the same person. He gazed at her curiously and added, "And as I go on about where to go...might I ask what the name of the person I'm going with, is?" He smiled as he waited for her to reply.
This was going to be a rather enjoyable day after all, and to think he had only come into this music store to buy a CD! [And it's fine. lol sorry about the shortness. =/]

i am confidant but I STILL HAVE MY MOMENTS BABY that’s just me ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It took every ounce of energy in herself to keep from squealing and jumping up and down. She’d done it! She’d gotten a guy to talk to her without her giggly friends being a part of it at all. They seemed to think their mission was to hook Aislynn up with the “perfect man”. She tried to convince them over and over that there was no such thing, and wanted to tell them every guy they picked turned out to be a jerk, but with their enthusiasm? She didn’t have the heart… "Aislynn. Aislynn Stone.""Well, like I said, I’m off " she glanced at the clock, "Oh, well… now… hey Benny! I’m out!" she called, looking to a man behind the desk. She then began to walk for the door, but stopped, turning to him with an embarrassed smile "Ugh, how rude of me. I’m so sorry. I meant to ask you your name. "She was way too excited to think straight. Her brain had suddenly decided to give her an insane adrenaline boost, and she could barely stand still. She stopped the foot she realized she was tapping, standing as still as she could. She still had to keep her cool. She’d slipped up once, and didn’t intend to anymore. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! done TAGGED! James… WORD COUNT! 213 OUTFIT! clicky! with a name tag COMMENTS ! It’s fine. She is a feisty one... James thought with a bemused smile coming on his face. He chuckled as she turned to him, clearly embarrassed. She was rather excited, well, who wouldn't be?
He walked over to stand to the side of her. "Don't worry about it." He told her chuckling again, feeling relaxed. "I'm James. James Wolf." He told her smoothly, loving that they were getting along very well. His head tilted to the side slightly as he stared at her, suddenly he had a thought of seeing or hearing Aislynn's name before..., "....I think I've heard of your name somewhere before..." He started in a wondering tone. Had he? He surely would remember clearly if he had...strange.
Shaking his head slightly, "Hmm, I can't remember..." He said with a shrug, bringing his hand to his head for a second.
Maybe he had seen a name similar to hers.... Well, he had looked at many names before, over hundreds of names; in the division that is. The division have their eyes on all these people who they believe are paranormals, and surely he was just mistaken. He hated looking through those names, and odds were, he would never find the person who was on that list. But, Division One and paranormals were the last thing on James' mind right now. Just the gorgeous brunette in front of him.
He stared at her a moment longer before saying, "Well, let's go then now m'lady." He smiled solemnly, probably the first time he'd smiled like that today, and started to pass her. He could smell the perfume she had on; which only made him more intoxicated around her than he already was now. It was hard to keep his eyes off this woman. This was going to be fun, he actually believed he would have a rather long relationship with Aislynn; well if they got that far, which he hoped they did.
Not seeming to care; James kept his gaze locked with hers longer than necessary as he waited by the door, holding it open for her nicely. It was a good thing he had nothing planned today, he was off today at work, well...he was actually working all the time; he was an agent for D1, and he always had to keep his eyes out for paranormals. He'd never actually found one, they were oh so careful; they should be too, Division One was everywhere nowadays....
