Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. The regular footsteps of Emilee’s sounded throughout the area before the sound waves hit the trees, and other objects, and became muted. At one am in the morning, it was rather strange to see anyone in the park, let alone someone going for a run at this late, but bad dreams had stopped her from sleeping, or even staying in her apartment, so she had quickly thrown shorts and a tank top on before running to the park and staring a seriously fast paced loop.
Thud.thud.thud.thud.thud.thud
She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears and felt sweat trickling down her back, even though it was the dead of the night, it was humid, with thick dark clouds pressing down on the earth.
Emilee half closed her eyes, replying on her senses and feet to guide her safely, her sides were burning, and she could taste a metallic tinge in the back of her throat. It was time to stop, before she threw up or something equally as bad.
Slowly, her run became a jog, which became a sort of stumbling walk and finally grinding to a halt where she almost immediately just let herself collapse onto the ground. Man, she was exhausted, so she just lay on the ground, feeling the thumpthump of her blood slowly, slowly return to normal.
It was a while before she felt better, but getting up didn’t seem to work as her legs felt like jelly, so lying in the middle of the park at almost two am in the morning it was, Em thought warily.

Jessica walked out of the club she’d just finished a performance at. No matter how many times she did this kind of gigs she still absolutely loved them. She wrapped her guitar on her back and decided to take a shortcut through the park. It wasn’t probably the smartest thing to do, especially at this hour, but she really couldn’t care less. She could take care of herself.
She wrapped her arms across her chest starting to feel a bit cold. A shiver ran down her back and she bit down hard on her lip. She frowned as she saw a girl lying on the ground a few metres further. What was wrong with her ? After doubting for a while she walked over to her and sighed. “Hey, are you ok ?” She asked.
She bend down next to her and looked at her closely to make sure she was okay.

Emilee’s thoughts drifted as she lay there, half feeling the pounding in her head subside with some relief, half thinking about random things. Like how the ground smelt wonderfully fresh and earthy and clean after the recent rain. And how she could feel the tickle of wet grass on her bare skin. And the chilling breeze that swept across the park. Somewhere, dimly, in the back of her brain she knew it was a bad idea to just lie there after an intensive run, it was quite possible she’d end up catching a cold or something. But Emilee was used to all kinds of natural ‘tests’ on her body, so she figured she’d survive.
She faintly heard the sound of footsteps coming in her direction, but couldn’t muster up the strength, or even enough concern to move herself out of the way. At the question of whether she was ok, Emilee reluctantly opened her eyes, turning her head slightly to see, or not see since it was so dark, who it was. After a few seconds, her eyes had adjusted to the light, and she could make out the indistinct profile of a girl, with what looked to be a guitar case on her back.
With much effort, Emilee pushed herself off the ground onto her elbows, well since someone had bothered to stop and see if she was ok, it’d be the nice thing to do to make polite conversation, right? “Mmmhm.” Emilee said, thingying her head, “just having a rest.” She paused for a second, wondering exactly how late it was. “So what’re you doing out this late then? It can be dangerous around here you know”

Jessica kept a close eye on the girl, getting more worried as she didn’t react. A relieved sigh escaped her lips as the girl opened her eyes and looked at her. She smiled and held out her hand to help her up. She smirked lightly at the girls comment, just having a rest, at this hour in the middle of the park. It just didn’t seem like the smartest idea.
She chuckled at the girl comment and grinned, “I can take care of myself don’t worry.” She said, “But you know I could say the same thing about you, you look about the same age as me anyway.” She said still smiling. She crossed her arms over her chest after helping the girl up and watched her closely, just in case she would fall down or something.

Emilee thingyed her head and shot a sly grin at the girl, “touché, but then again…” she suddenly reached out as if to attack, but then stopped and held the position, only a few centimetres away from the girl. “I could be someone dangerous and have mugged you by now, lucky that I’m not, right?” Dropping her hands, Emilee sat down again rather suddenly, a hand help up to her forehead. Her eyes slanted sideways to the girl, and she smiled with reassurance, “don’t worry, it’s just a headache.. It’ll probably be gone soon.” Emilee made to stand up again but before she was fully upright her knees gave up and she collapsed in a faint, obviously it was a bit more then just a headache. Ooc; woo. Drama. Lol. Sorry that was terribly clichéd, but ehh.. I’m sick My muse is gone, noes.

Jessica took a step back very surprised when the girl reached up to her stopping just a few centimetres away from her. If the girl would try something she wouldn’t hesitate to use her powers on her. “I would manage.” She said smirking.
“Okay come on.” Jessica said as the girl collapsed on the floor again. She could help her over to the bench a few metres further and perhaps get help. She bend down yet again and took hold of the girl arm, wanting to help her up.
